From June 21 to 24, the Liguria Region will be in Beijing as the honored guest of the fourth edition of CISCE – China International Supply Chain Expo, the most important international event dedicated to supply chains. This year’s edition will focus in particular on advanced manufacturing chains, green agriculture, digital technology, healthy living, clean energy, and services supporting supply chains.
In addition to Liguria, invited by the CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) and whose participation in the event has been supported by Spediporto, the honored guests of the 2026 edition will also include Australia and the French region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
The Ligurian delegation, led by the Chief of Staff to the President of the Liguria Region, Admiral Massimiliano Nannini, with the close collaboration of Spediporto and the support of Federlogistica, will include representatives from Liguria International, Agenzia In Liguria, Liguria Digitale, the Genoa Chamber of Commerce, the two Ligurian Port System Authorities, Confindustria Genoa, as well as a significant representation of companies from the region: Rina Spa, Interglobo Spa, Hub Telematica Srl, Circle Group Spa, Cargo Start, Consorzio GOAS, Priano Marchelli, PSA Italy, Ailox, Contship Group, TB Engineering, Aprile China, Zurcher Italia, and Cava International Srl.
During the event, institutional meetings, business-to-business appointments, and networking opportunities will be held, all aimed at promoting Liguria, its companies, production excellence, and investment opportunities in the region.
Participation in CISCE represents a unique opportunity to meet, from the privileged position of honored guest region, numerous Chinese and international companies, creating concrete opportunities for dialogue, cooperation, and development.
In this context, an important letter of intent between the Liguria Region and Hainan Province of the People’s Republic of China will also be signed.
Liguria’s presence will also be enhanced through a dedicated stand, organized and managed by Agenzia In Liguria, covering approximately 100 square meters. The stand will feature a conference area for presentations and meetings with international stakeholders and operators, a dedicated space for B2B meetings, and exhibition areas with multimedia content.
Participation in CISCE also holds significant value due to the attention given by the Chinese system to Italy’s presence: the State Council of the People’s Republic of China has recently highlighted the role of the Liguria Region and its participation in the event, recognizing the importance of cooperation between Liguria and China.
The mission will continue on June 25 and 26 in Hong Kong, where the Liguria Region will join Spediporto for the inauguration of its Representative Office, further strengthening relations between the Ligurian logistics system and the main Asian markets.
“Being the honored guest region at the China International Supply Chain Expo represents an important recognition for Liguria and for the role our territory plays in international economic and logistics dynamics,” said the President of the Liguria Region Marco Bucci and the Regional Councillor for Economic Development Alessio Piana. “Liguria is the gateway to Southern Europe overlooking the Mediterranean, a natural platform connecting Asia and Africa thanks to its ports, infrastructure, logistics expertise, and the ability of its production network to innovate and compete globally.
At CISCE we will bring not only the excellence of our companies, but an entire regional system made up of industry, research, innovation, universities, ports, and services. The presence of several Ligurian companies and leading representatives of the economic and institutional world confirms the strength of a team working together to promote the territory and attract investment.”
“The presence of the Regional Presidency at CISCE represents an important political and institutional opportunity to bring our development model, the excellence of our territory, and the strategic role Liguria can play in the new global supply chains directly to China,” added Admiral Massimiliano Nannini, Chief of Staff to the President of the Liguria Region. “I would like to express particular thanks to the Italian Embassy in China for its valuable support and attention dedicated to this initiative, which will be an important moment of international dialogue and openness, strengthening Liguria’s position in global markets and promoting new economic, institutional, and commercial relations.
In this perspective, the signing of the letter of intent between the Liguria Region and Hainan Province of the People’s Republic of China is particularly significant. This agreement aims to encourage new contacts and economic and commercial exchanges, strengthening institutional relations and creating new cooperation opportunities between two territories with significant development potential.”
Giampaolo Botta, General Director of Spediporto, commented: “For Spediporto, participation in CISCE in Beijing represents a system-wide mission, but with very concrete industrial objectives: strengthening Liguria’s role in the major global value chains and opening new operational relations with the Asian market.
We will bring two strategic assets to China: on the one hand, the development of air cargo at Genoa’s Cristoforo Colombo Airport, on which we are working through the GOAS Consortium, at a time when Asian carriers, charter operators, and e-commerce companies are looking to Europe and Italy to build solid partnerships; on the other hand, the technological and digital know-how that Spediporto, together with Hub Telematica, intends to offer in support of international collaborations based on data, advanced platforms, and innovation.
The opening of our representative office in Hong Kong completes this path: Genoa and Liguria are not only a gateway to the Mediterranean, but a credible partner for connecting Asia and Europe through logistics, expertise, and vision.”
“CISCE is the world’s first national-level exhibition dedicated to supply chains,” stated CCPIT Italy General Director Mr. Guo Peidong. “This year’s edition is particularly significant because the Liguria Region will participate for the first time as an honored guest region, accompanied by a large delegation of representatives from the business and institutional sectors.
The CCPIT has placed great importance on Liguria’s participation and highlighted it during recent press conferences, generating considerable interest among Chinese companies and local administrations. CISCE provides an excellent platform to further strengthen cooperation between China and Italy and to allow the Liguria Region to explore concrete business and investment opportunities with Chinese partners.”
“The participation of Liguria in the China International Supply Chain Expo confirms the central role of logistics in the new global economic dynamics,” emphasized the President of Federlogistica Davide Falteri. “At Federlogistica, we believe that digitalization, sustainability, and internationalization are the three fundamental drivers of competitiveness for the Italian logistics system.
China represents a strategic partner with which to develop relations, exchange expertise, and create new investment opportunities. Federlogistica is ready to make its national and international network available to strengthen the role of Genoa and Liguria as a European logistics hub and a platform connecting the Mediterranean with global markets.”
In previous editions, CISCE established itself as a key event for global companies: the latest edition recorded the participation of 651 exhibitors from 75 countries and regions, including numerous industry leaders and companies listed among the Fortune Global 500.
